What is Cannabidiol?
CBD or Cannabidiol is one of the 60 compounds found in hemp and belongs to the same class of compounds as of cannabinoids. THC and CBD are the two of the most famous and widely studied compounds which belong to this group. It is important to note here that CBD, unlike THC, doesn’t give the feeling of high’ and can cancel the psychoactivity of THC.
The products can be classified into two classes based on the concentration of CBD: the ones with an equal concentration of CBD and THC are referred to as ‘CBD-rich’ while the ones with a higher concentration of CBD are known as ‘CBD dominant products.’
These products, particularly the strains of CBD are being studied for their various medicinal benefits because they are less psychoactive than the strains that are rich in THC. Their anti-cancerous and neurogenic effects of the products help the body fight off a wide range of health conditions.
